Plantd Skincare · US launch report · October 2026
For Shaune Bowers and Tricia Stevens: what to decide about the US launch, and in what order.
Sell the result your customers already describe: a rich cream that sinks in, with nothing in it to react to.
4of 30
customer problems the range can honestly solve are named on plantdskincare.com today, and only as features. The other 26 are the opportunity.
The three moves that matter most
- Lead with Nude and the problem it solves. First remove five site claims the FDA treats as drug claims. Weeks 0–8
- Test on Meta, sending each ad to a page that opens on the same problem. Ten ads are finished. Weeks 2–8
- Launch on Amazon, and use Faire, before adding distributors. One listing for the six body creams plus the Discovery Set. Plantd keeps about $18.53 a jar on Amazon and $13.15 on Faire Direct, against $9.88 through a distributor (estimates). Months 2–6

"It's SO thick, yet doesn't leave me feeling greasy."
The launch plan, by priority
What to do first, and what waits
Read from the top: the widest tiertier 1 is the most important and starts now. Each step down waits for proof from the one above.
1Most important

Launch now, in parallel
The Amazon listing, Meta ads, and the new pain-led product page.
Fixes in weeks 0–8; all three live by month 2–3.
Why this order
The highest money per jar (about $18.53 on Amazon, about $21 on the site) and the demand, reviews and proof every other channel needs.
2Priority 2

US retail, worked directly
Co-ops and independent health-food stores contacted in-house, gift and spa shops through Faire Direct, and the zero-cost fix to the Lotus Light listing.
Weeks 1–13, about 120 stores in three areas.
Why this order
No broker budget. Stores reorder on shopper demand, and Faire Direct charges 0% commission.
3Priority 3

Distributor sell-through
Grow the existing Lotus Light listing with store reports and a per-unit deal; add Threshold only after Lotus Light sells.
Months 3–12.
Why this order
A distributor fills orders; it doesn't create them. Threshold also needs 18 months of shelf life at delivery and sales proof.
How to read this
Two minutes: this page. Each chapter card below answers one question. Ten minutes: open the chapters that matter to you; each has the same layout: the question, the answer, what we found, the evidence, and what to do first. Operator detail sits one layer deeper, under "Go deeper" on every chapter.
Labels used throughout
Fact measured or quoted, with its source. Estimate an inference or assumption, with its basis. Proposed our recommendation, not yet approved. Public ad data shows how long ads run, never what they sell. In charts, green marks Plantd.
Why the next few months matter
- Winter is the season. Dry, tight, cracked skin peaks from November to March, and the pages and ads have to be ready before it, not during it.
- The Amazon gift window is narrow. A Q4 gift launch only works if Brand Registry and US labels are done within weeks; otherwise the realistic launch is Q1 2027 on winter dry skin.
- The lane is open, for now. Tallow brands own "natural that actually works" on Meta with ads running 200+ days. Nobody owns the plant-based version, or fragrance-free for itchy winter skin.
