The thread cut — action re-cut

The spotlit cut was kept and the thread cut rejected, so the thread cut stops being its own system and adopts this one wholesale. The only per-direction variation left is what the ground physically forces: white type cannot sit on bright warm felt, so a scrim goes in. Same five shots, same voice-over.

Knitted — 7 action shots, bottle in hand

Anton caps + IBM Plex Mono · cream · 7 shots · measured motion 0.89 → 2.25

What changed

  • The stillness was my prompting. The previous clips were generated with "almost imperceptible", "nothing else moves", "locked-off camera". Every prompt was rewritten around continuous action.
  • Seven shots, not five — a cut roughly every 3.5s. He trudges in and sags, his legs buckle, he goes down, he pushes himself back up, taps a boot while the clock sweeps, then springs off the floor and spins as the room turns.
  • The rain, curtain, clock and dust now move on their own in every shot. Measured frame-to-frame motion: opening shot 0.33 → 1.68, whole master 1.17 → 1.88.
  • He holds the bottle in both hands through the close, bouncing and lifting it — not a composite floating beside him.
  • Known gate failure: the generated label does not survive a full-resolution read. A tighter framing renders garbled sub-lines, so the close is deliberately wide enough that no incorrect wording is legible. Fixing it properly needs a regeneration.
Spotlit brain — the reference

Anton caps + IBM Plex Mono · cream on black · tracking-collapse settle

What changed

  • Design is untouched. Two defects fixed, both found while porting it across.
  • The slide-in animates letter-spacing from wide to zero, making a line transiently wider than its settled state. "AT TWO IN THE AFTERNOON." and "ALREADY ACTIVE." were clipping halfway through their own reveal — invisible in stills sampled at rest.
  • Track-in eased to 0.10em and every display line budgeted against chars × (advance + trackIn) × size ≤ 952, which put sizes up, not down.
  • The "no conversion / nothing to wait for" explainer was 28px on one line; it is now two lines at 40px.

What both cuts now share — and what they deliberately don't

Shared: one word-timing engine. Every word carries the absolute second faster-whisper found it in the real read, so type lands on its own syllable instead of fading in as a block. Shared too: the Reels reserve, the shot boundaries, and the per-frame subject mattes that let type sit behind the character.

Not shared: typeface, weight ladder, size rhythm, colour logic, separation method, layout logic and the way type moves. Two worlds that look nothing alike should not carry the same type in two colours — which is exactly what the previous pair did.
Layout is measured, not eyeballed. The character's alpha bounding box was sampled per shot. The clear band ranged from 170px to 713px across five shots of the same character — no single rail can serve that, and pretending otherwise is what made every shot look like the same template.
No CTA pill. Removed on standing feedback — the platform supplies its own button in the reserve, and the bottle's own label already carries the brand, the product and the dose. The line that used to sit across that label was deleted rather than relocated.
