# Independent commerce/mobile audit — CHL editorial-r1

Scope: independent pixel and interaction review of the public `editorial-r1` page at 1440×900 and 390×844, compared only with the supplied v61 baseline and competitor captures. This is a design/commerce diagnosis, not a conversion-performance claim.

1. **Priority 1 — restore a decision surface to the first desktop screen.** The new 1440px hero is an attractive, legible 720px editorial split: pain-led headline, explicit $9.99/$50.99 terms, reviews and a natural bottle scene. But its buy module begins at y=923, just below a 900px viewport. The v61 and Needed top screens both pair product with price/options/CTA immediately. The hero link is clear, but makes a high-intent desktop visitor take an extra deliberate step before comparing subscription with one-time purchase.
2. **Priority 1 — shorten the mobile path between emotional premise and checkout choice.** At 390px the headline and terms occupy the first 590px, then the still image runs to about y=904; the gallery finishes near y=1,468 and purchase begins at y=1,507. The composition is handsome and readable, but the shopper sees a second product-image sequence before the offer choices. v61 places the gallery and buy controls together in its first mobile product region. Keep the hero, then put a compact selected-offer/CTA immediately after it, ahead of the gallery.
3. **Priority 2 — the page has a coherent, useful learning arc, not generic section stacking.** Product views, the active-folate explainer, a restrained formula/label panel, routine photography, creator routines and FAQ each have a distinct job. The label and the explicit high-dose caution support informed buying better than the OSEA-style imagery-first reference; the visual contrast between cream and emerald gives the long page breath.
4. **Priority 2 — make the relationship between the hero promise and product identity more immediate.** The hero image is lifestyle-quality and preserves the branded bottle, but desktop copy calls it "L-Methylfolate 15 mg" only in body copy; the product name, dose, capsule count and options do not converge until the buy block. The prior v61 desktop made product, dosage, social proof and offer scan as one unit. A small product/dose identifier beside the hero CTA would retain the editorial restraint while reducing ambiguity.
5. **Priority 2 — retain the source-matched creator evidence but move a proof cue earlier.** The live page initially renders exactly **3** clickable creator-video cards; “See all five routines” reveals the other **2**, for five total. All five are therefore available, but the section starts at about y=6,078 desktop / y=7,559 mobile, far after the decision module. A single compact creator-video proof row or reviewed-card preview close to the offer would make the social proof visible during consideration without autoplay or clutter.
6. **Priority 3 — the long-page pacing becomes weak after the strong middle.** On mobile the capsule/formula image, label inspection, accordion proof, lifestyle panel, UGC, FAQ and final offer are all individually polished, but their repeated full-width alternation pushes FAQ to roughly y=8,230. Combine or tighten one proof layer (for example, label accordion plus surrounding proof copy) and surface the high-dose/returns reassurance next to the primary action.
7. **Fair strength / regression call.** This is a real visual advance from v61: warmer photography, more characterful typography and a calmer editorial rhythm remove the template-like product-detail feel; the product label remains inspectable and pricing is plainly disclosed. The specific commerce regression is information hierarchy, not aesthetics: v61's above-fold decision module was more immediately shoppable. Editorial-r1 should preserve its art direction while reintroducing a compact offer selector/CTA in the first viewport on desktop and directly under the mobile hero.

Recommendation: **revise before acceptance as the strongest commerce candidate**—a targeted hierarchy pass, not a redesign. Validate the revised fold at 1440×900 and 390×844 with the selected price, renewal terms, one-time alternative, primary CTA, high-dose caution and one human-proof cue all discoverable without a long scroll.
